PS3 Slim

Ok, so all good things come to an end? I'll apologize for lack of updates as I was way too busy with work and World of Warcraft. That being said, I've decided to choose real-life instead of my online alter ego thus suspending my account. So far so good, no withdrawal urges whatsoever :)

Anyways, to celebrate my reawakening I've decided to spoil the inner geek within by buying myself a PS3 slim. A little consolation for a job well-done *quitting wow* :)

So with no further delays, my analysis on the console? Well, most of you guys would own the standard PS3, so bare in mind if you do you'll want to keep in order and spend you coinage elsewhere. However, for those of you looking to console game in the near future. Look no further!! This is the console for you! At first I was skeptical with the cheaper looking finish and removal of touch sensitive buttons. Although, after seeing this thing in the flesh I must say that I am impressed. The sheer engineering of squeezing such an impressive engine into such a compact casing is indeed a technological marvel of todays standards. Furthermore, did I mention that the system runs much cooler because of the 45nm die which equates to the quiet cooling solution on this baby. On startup you can barely notice that the console is on :) All in all it is a nice impressive addition to any console lovers collection and will be for the next few years to come.

I'll post back once I get my hands on some games, so far I've managed to pick up: uncharted 2: among thieves, tekken 6, borderlands, bayonetta and modern warfare 2. The joy of gaming =)

World of Warcraft - Tribute - 'Lil Warlock'

I have just jumped back into playing World of Warcraft since middle of 2006. The expansions have made the game even more enormous and added some nice balancing features to the game. I have just completed the BC and WOTLK expansions having just hit 80 and have to admit that the game is still enjoyable.

Having renditions of the past and memories of having my @ss handed to me by Warlocks, I've rerolled one all the way to 80, and whilst are not so OP anymore are still enjoyable to play.

In addition having been onto the Warlocks Den forums and stumbling across the heart-breaking story of Tarnorthewarlock's nephew and his level 11 warlock, it really does make me remember the very first time I played and how fun it was.

Therefore, this is a tribute to the 'lil' warlock on the hill who will forever overlook the green hills of Northshire.

/Salute

Let us all remember what this game was all about, and take a break to cherish what is really important.

Tanor, you have our deepest condolences to you and your family.

Biohazard 5 Demo hit's XBOX live (Japan)

The highly anticipated Biohazard 5 demo has recently been released on the XBOX live network in Japan. In the past, it was once possible to create a Japanese hotmail account and connect to the XBOX live network in Japan to download the game demos. Unfortunately, this is not so for the Biohazard demo as Capcom are well aware of the facade Japanese account technique and placed a region-lock down on the demo. This has been confirmed, so do not waste your precious bandwidth on a demo that will not work on any other region specific system other than NTSC-J.

However, for those of you interested: NeoGaf has promised to deliver here:

Console + Web Browser

Well it's a new year and hopefully some of you guys are still enjoying the long awaited Christmas/New Years Break of 2008. I know I certainly have, and soon it will be back to 9-6 working days :(

I was just using my PS3's web browser capability and my, do I think it's impressive. Saved my bacon from having to power-up my Pc just to check something as simple as today's forecast. This leads to my next question, as to why the xbox 360 oversaw the capability of an inbuilt web browser?

I know all the fanboys will say that it is not a necessity and that browsing should be left to the PC, but hey..sorry, the added convenience and the sheer fact of a present browser in your next-gen console is at the very least a nice feature. Especially if your PC inadvertently hangs on you and you don't have the dime to replace it just yet. I could give a rat's a$$ if MS had previously mentioned that they would also like to keep the xbox as far apart from the PC as possible, that is not a legitimate excuse to leave such a feature out, where it is existent on other next-gen consoles.

After a dead powerbrick, and a slew of crappy features on the new dashboard. I'm doubting the integrity of this product and can't help but feel short-changed side by side with my PS3.
